Delhi to Srinagar Vande Bharat Train is a sleeper train that starts operating from 7th June, 2025. This train has improved travel facilities in the region and encourage tourism. Vande Bharat is a medium and long-distance semi high speed train run by Indian Railways. It is a fully AC train where all seats are reserved and passengers travel in chair seats. The train connects cities that are less than 800 km apart in the beginning.
It started to run regularly on it’s first route on 15 February 2019, from Delhi to Katra (Jammu). There are 2 types of seats available in this train:
- AC Executive Class (EC) – Rotating Cross seats
- Chair Class (CC) – Cross seats

Online

Create Account and Login
- If you don’t have an IRCTC account create an IRCTC account on www.irctc.co.in
- Keep passenger details ready (name, age, gender, ID, mobile number, etc.)
- Log in to your IRCTC account using, username & password.
Enter journey details
- Enter your boarding station in “From” Box that will be Delhi.
- Enter your destination station in “To” box, that will be Srinagar
- Select journey date
- Choose either “All classes” or directly Vande Bharat by train.
Search for trains

Select the Train and Seats
- From the available list, choose the Vande Bharat Express for your route, i.e Delhi to Srinagar
- Select your preferred class: CC (AC Chair Car) or EC (Executive Class)
Book Tickets
- See the status (Available / RAC / WL) and fare shown for the selected class.
- If seats are available as per your requirements, proceed with booking,
- Add each passenger’s name, age, gender, berth/seat preference, and ID details as asked.
- Enter a valid mobile number to receive SMS with ticket details.
Choose additional services
- If catering is offered, select whether you want meals to be included.
- Check train name, date, class, passengers, boarding point, fare and contact number.
- Confirm everything is correct before payment.
Make payment
- Choose payment mode: UPI, debit/credit card, net banking, or wallet.
- Complete the payment to confirm the booking.
- After successful payment, your e‑ticket is generated.
- You will receive it by SMS and email, and you can also download it from “My Bookings” from your IRCTC account.
